Crabominable V Deck [Fusion Strike]

Overview

Crabominable V is quite tough Pokemon with decent 220 HP. Because it is an Ice type Pokemon, it has Metal Wekaness. So, Crabominable V is definitely not good matchup against Zacian V.  If you look at the Stats of Crabominable in the Nintendo Switch: Sword and Shield games, you will notice that it has very slow speed. Thus, Crabominable V has very very high Retreat Cost [4 Energy]. So, the best way to retreat it is either to use "Switch" or "Escape Rope".

Crabominable V second attack, Destroyer Punch is its only attack that can deal damage to your opponent's Pokemon. This attack has 90 base damage and does 60 more damage for each damage counter on your opponent's Active Pokemon. Actually, this is the improved version of Sableye V attack, Crazy Claw which has only 10 base damage. Other than difference in damage, Destroyer Punch also require 1 extra Energy to use. Still, it is better to have 90 base damage with 2 Water Energy and 1 Colorless Energy than 10 base damage with 2 Dark Energy.

With Destroyer Punch, Crabominable V can 2HKO any Pokemon VMAX. The first strike will deal 90 damage and subsequently, the second strike will deal 540 on the same Pokemon. You can also OHKO most of the Pokemon VMAX using Destroyer Punch as long as you can put 4 damage counters on that Pokemon before you use Destroyer Punch.

Crabominable V first attack, Snow Slide is perfect move for Mill Decks especially in expanded format. For 1 Water Energy, this attack let you discards top 2 cards of your opponents deck. You might even win by decking out your opponent in the Standard Format using Snow Slide attack.

Putting damage counters

Right now, there is no better Pokemon than Inteleon Rapid Strike when when it comes to putting damage counters. With 2 Inteleon Rapid Strike on your bench, you will be able to put 4 damage counters on your opponent's Active Pokemon and Crabominable V Destroyer Punch will deal 330 damage. There is no doubt that Crabominable V can OHKO most of your opponent Pokemon with the help of Inteleon Ability Quick Shooting.

Also, its pre-evolution Drizzile Ability Shady Dealings can help Crabominable V in many way since this Ability let you search 1 Trainers when you evolve it. Things like energy acceleration, drawing cards, controlling your opponent's hand and finding Energy etc, can be performed with Shady Dealings.

Energy Setup

Meloy will used to accelerate 1 Water Energy in the early game while Raihan will be used to accelerate 1 Water Energy in the late game. To use either of the above Supporters, you need to have at least 1 Water Energy in your discard pile. In addition, Raihan can be only used when 1 of your Pokemon knocked out during your opponent's last turn. With these Supporters, you can attach 3 Energy to Crabominable V within 2 turns.

Increase HP

Crabominable V 220 HP can be OHKO by most of the Pokemon VMAX attack and you need 2 turns to attach 3 Energy to it. Increasing its HP to 270 with Cape of Toughness will allows Crabominable to tank Pokemon VMAX attacks at least 2 turns. Within these 2 turns, you can easily KO opponent's Pokemon VMAX if it has 3 Energy.

Additional Attackers

When facing with very fast attacker, Crabominable 3 Energy attack cost become troublesome. To deal with fast attacker, you need to use another fast attacker. Suicune V will be used as an extra ttacker in thise deck. Suicune V is not only a fast attacker, also has decent damage. Furthermore, it weakness is not Metal so it can be used to counter against strong Pokemon like Zacian V which can guarantee OHKO Crabominable V.
